This Gyro meat recipe is an easy way to make the popular Americanized meat concoction that’s served in Greek restaurants and diners. Most store bought gyro meats have added ingredients and binders which may include wheat and soy.
This recipe does use bread crumbs which can be excluded or substituted with ground pork rinds or a low carb bread crumb alternative.
You can store the meat in the freezer, then thaw, slice and crisp before serving. The trick to getting the crispy meat is to finish it in a pan with some oil or on the grill.
